Some users are experiencing a black screen issue on their iPhone 13 Pro Max. This issue is caused by a software problem that can be fixed by restarting the device or performing a hard reset.

How to fix it

  1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button.
  2. Immediately hold the Volume down button.
  3. Release the Sleep/Wake button but keep holding the Volume down button.
  4. Let go of the Volume down button when the Apple logo appears.
  5. If this doesn't work, contact Apple support — there isn't a known user-side fix yet.
